Payment Information

  • All payments are due by the 20th of the month.
  • A 15% late fee will be applied to any outstanding balance after the 20th.
  • If the account is not paid in full by the end of the month a delinquent fee of $45 will be applied and service is subject to disconnection. All outstanding charges shall be paid before service is resumed.
  • Re-connection during normal business hours is included in the delinquent fee, however, re-connection after normal working hours is an additional $55.

Paying online will direct you from the town's website to a secure location where you will be led through an online process to pay your bill. In addition to paying your bill online, you will be able to view your account's usage, payment history, and view your bill. Payments must be made online by midnight on the due dates in order to not incur late charges or discontinued service. $2 Credit Card Payment Fee applied to each transaction. Cancellation of Service

It is the consumer's responsibility to advise the Town of Pittsboro regarding cancellation of service; forwarding information must be provided. The consumer will be responsible for all charges until the town has received a cancellation or disconnection notice.

Additional Information

  • Any inquiries regarding a bill must be made prior to the due date to avoid a late penalty.
  • Failure to receive a bill in the mail does not excuse responsibility for timely payment or prevent late fees or service disconnection. Your account is not considered paid until payment is received in our office. We are not responsible for the timely delivery of the mail nor for payments lost in the mail.
  • All meters are the property of the Town of Pittsboro and shall not be tampered with in any way (i.e. turning on or off). The fee for unauthorized tampering with the Town of Pittsboro Water System or its meters will be up to $15,000.
