Holiday traditions return to Pittsboro! The annual Christmas Parade features beautifully decorated floats built by local groups and businesses, filled to the brim with holiday cheer and Christmas spirit with fun costumes, floats, twinkling holiday lights, and more! It's a great way to kick off the holiday season!  

Seating will not be provided. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets.

Line Up Procedures

Reminder of line up procedures on Martin Luther King Drive:

• Floats line up at 1 pm
• All others must be in place by 1:45 pm
• Parade Begins at 3 pm

Application & Agreement Form

You must acknowledge and agree to the Participant Agreement along with your Parade Application. Group leaders, you must acquire signatures from all of your parade participants. We will not allow signatures to be collected on the day of the parade.

Group Judging

Each group will be judged and may win in one of the following categories: Most Spirited, Best Walking Group, Most Creative, and Judges Favorite. Be sure to bring a festive and holiday spirit! There is no assigned theme for the parade, each group may choose their own theme. 

Inclement Weather

Should inclement weather force a parade cancellation, announcements will be made via the Town of Pittsboro Facebook page. Due to the advanced notice and extensive logistics required to redirect major state highways, a canceled parade would not be rescheduled.
