PBOh! Homecoming Event 2023

Saturday, November 18 from 12-3pm. 

It’s time to come home… to Downtown Pittsboro! 

The Town of Pittsboro is excited to share that we are hosting a new event on November 18 from 12-3pm. PBOh! Homecoming 2023 will be held in the parking lot located at 50 West Salisbury Street, besides Gunn & Messick Law Office.

Join us for the first annual PBOh! Homecoming as we celebrate our town! Enjoy food trucks, local music, crafts, fun and games for the whole family while you learn about things new and old that PBO has to offer. We’ll unveil mural installations and preview plans for a Pop-Up Park that will serve as a new central gathering space for all. You’ll leave with information on events of the season, how to engage with your community and a new appreciation for the place we call home. 

If you are an artist, work with a local art gallery/organization, or if you work with a local community organization and would like to have a table at this event, please contact Theresa Thompson at 919-819-0096. There are no vendor fees. 

Here are some details on the exciting things we're planning:
Mural unveiling: 6 area schools are participating in the creation of a large mural that will be unveiled during the event.
Blow-up costume activities: Bring your blow-up costume and come prepared for some fun! In addition to a short race, there will be a dance competition, and a musical chairs contest. The winners of each activity will receive a $50 gift card!
Crafts tables: We will have a rock painting table and a ornament decoration table. Adults and kids are both welcomed to participate!
Parking space painting contest:  Unleash your creative flair and display your artistic prowess. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, this contest is tailored just for you. Don't let this chance slip through your fingers to connect with fellow artists and immerse yourself in a vibrant artistic community. Individual or teams are welcome to participate. All artists must submit a draft or description of what they would like to paint for committee approval. Local judges will vote on: Most Original Idea, Best Composition & Technical Difficulty, & Best Interpretation of events theme (Views of Pittsboro). Click HERE to reserve your spot
