Tuesday, April 2nd

Owl Investigation, $10 fee

Knight Farm Park • 362 Vine Parkway

Dissect an owl pellet to learn about the food chain and create an owl craft. Registration required; space limited and parents must attend with their children. Link to register.


Spring Rocks

Tuesday, April 2 • 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Mary Hayes Barber Holmes Park • 304 Old Rock Springs Cemetery Rd

Decorate a rock or write an inspiring message. Walk along the trail to hunt for the perfect spot to place your rock. Be sure to admire the painted rocks of other visitors!

Discover the life of a seed and explore the outdoors to find key plant parts, and plant water-wise flower seeds to beautify your home.


Leaf & Flower Press, $5 fee

Did you know that leaf and flower pressing began thousands of years ago? Create your own leaf press, collect a specimen and in a few weeks, you’ll have a beautifully preserved keepsake! Link to register.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Story Time and Craft

Enjoy this classic children’s book with an interactive storytelling from our Recreation Coordinator and create a themed craft!


Paint a Planter, $10 fee

Let’s decorate a small terracotta pot and plant our very own plant to take home and care for! Registration required; all materials provided. Parents must attend with their children. Link to register.

5 Senses Nature Walk

The first step to learning about nature is observation. Let’s walk around Town Lake to explore nature and pause from time to time to get in touch with your five senses.
